About this 16-type personality test
This free quiz sorts your answers along four classic preference scales – Extraversion vs Introversion, Sensing vs Intuition, Thinking vs Feeling and Judging vs Perceiving – and combines your stronger side of each into a four-letter type such as INFP or ESTJ. The idea of these preference pairs comes from Carl Jung's theory of psychological types, which Isabel Briggs Myers and Katharine Cook Briggs later developed into the famous questionnaire.
How is my result calculated?
There are 12 statements per scale, half worded in each direction so that simply agreeing with everything does not skew the result. Each answer moves you towards one side of its scale; the percentage bars show how clearly you lean one way. A score near 50% means you use both sides about equally, so the neighbouring type may fit you just as well.
Tips for an accurate result
Answer quickly and honestly, think about how you behave in everyday life rather than at work only, and use the middle option sparingly. Your progress is saved in your browser, so you can close the page and continue later. Remember that personality types describe preferences, not abilities – every type can succeed in any field.
