Set hours, minutes and seconds or tap a preset. An alarm sounds when the time runs out.
How to use the online timer
Type the hours, minutes and seconds, then press Start. The quick buttons start a 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 or 30 minute timer in one tap. Pause holds the countdown without losing the remaining time, and Reset returns to the full duration. The Space bar starts and pauses the timer as well.
When the time runs out, the display flashes and the chosen alarm sound plays until Stop alarm is pressed. The +1 min button starts a new one-minute countdown, for example as a short snooze.
Accurate in a background tab
Browsers slow down timers in tabs out of view. The timer stores the exact end time and checks the clock against the end time on every update, so the countdown stays correct while another tab is open. The remaining time also shows in the tab title. Keep the tab open and the volume up, because a closed tab plays no sound.
Alarm sounds and full screen
Thirteen alarm sounds come built in, from a classic beep and a school bell to birdsong, a rooster and a soft harp. The browser generates each sound on the spot, so the page loads no audio files. Test plays the selected sound once. Full screen shows the countdown in large digits, which suits a classroom, a workout or a presentation. The last duration and sound stay saved in the browser for the next visit.
