Pixel Thoughts

Put a thought that's stressing you into the star, then press Enter.
Take 60 seconds to let it go.

How do you feel?

What is Pixel Thoughts?

Pixel Thoughts is a 60-second mindfulness exercise. You type a worry, a stressful task or a nagging thought into the glowing star, press Enter, and watch the star slowly shrink and drift off into deep space while short, calming messages guide your breathing. By the time it disappears, the thought usually feels a little smaller, too.

How to use it

Find a quiet moment, write one thought in a few words and press Enter (or tap Release on a phone). For the next minute, just watch and breathe slowly – in through the nose, out through the mouth. Turn on Sound for a soft ambient drone generated right in your browser; no audio files are downloaded. When it's over, check in with how you feel and repeat with another thought if you like.

Why does it help?

Naming a worry and then watching it from a distance is a simple form of "cognitive defusion": you notice the thought instead of being caught up in it. Combined with a minute of slow breathing and a vast, quiet visual, it can help break a stress loop. It is a relaxation aid, not a replacement for professional support – if you are struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or a local helpline.

Your thought never leaves your device: nothing is sent or stored.
