Image Grid Splitter

Split a photo into a 3×3 Instagram grid or any rows × columns layout, then download each tile.

Images are split inside this browser with a canvas. The file stays on the device and is never uploaded.

Click a tile to download only that one. Some browsers ask once for permission to save several files.

How the image grid splitter works

The splitter cuts an image into equal tiles along a grid of rows and columns. Pick a preset such as 3×3 for an Instagram grid post or 1×3 for a wide panorama carousel, or set a custom layout up to 10 by 10. The preview draws the cut lines over the image, and each tile downloads on its own or together with the rest as separate PNG or JPEG files.

Posting a grid on Instagram

A profile grid shows the newest post at the top left, so the tiles go up in reverse order: tile 9 first and tile 1 last for a 3×3 grid. The square crop option trims the longer side evenly on both ends, which gives square tiles for a feed grid. For a panorama carousel, a 1×3 split keeps the tiles in reading order from left to right.

Privacy and quality

The image is processed in a canvas inside the browser and never leaves the device. Tiles keep the full resolution of the original, and PNG output is lossless. JPEG output gives smaller files and fills transparent areas with white. When the width or height does not divide evenly, neighboring tiles differ by one pixel at most.
