How to make a QR code
Pick what the code should contain – a web address or plain text, Wi‑Fi login details, a contact card, a pre-filled email or SMS, or a phone number – and fill in the fields. The preview updates as you type. Adjust size, colors and margin, then download a PNG for screens and documents or an SVG for print, where it can be scaled to any size without getting blurry.
Which error correction level should I choose?
Higher levels (Q or H) add redundancy so the code still scans when it is partly damaged, dirty or covered by a small logo, but they make the pattern denser. For short links shown on screen, L or M is ideal; for stickers and printed material, use Q or H. Keep strong contrast between dark and light colors and leave a margin (the "quiet zone") of about four modules so phone cameras can find the code.
Wi‑Fi QR codes and privacy
A Wi‑Fi QR code lets guests join your network by pointing their camera at it, without typing the password. It uses the
widely supported WIFI: format understood by iOS and Android cameras. Because the code is generated
entirely in your browser, your network name and password are never sent to any server.
Scanning a QR code from a screenshot
Received a QR code as an image? Drop the file or paste a screenshot into the scanner above to read its content without a phone. On devices with a camera you can also scan live. Links are shown as text first so you can check them before opening.
